You will recieve regular updates, information and invitations to events and activities at Ficino School, the first of which is our 15th Anniversary Event to be held in May. The details for this are given below.

In joining our database, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the wider community of other past pupils, parents, grandparents and friends who's association with the school strengthens and supports us into the future.

Friends-of-Ficino

The Friends were established in 1997. The Friends main objectives are to promote Ficino School, to organise activities that bring the school family together, to provide practical assistance in a number of areas in the school, and to assist with any fundraising projects.

In short the Friends are just that; friends to the School. The Friends of Ficino Committee is elected from amongst interested parties at the start of each year. The Committee organises several events aimed at raising both funds (for resources outside the current budget) and friendship amongst supporters of the school. The Friends Committee communicates directly with parents throughout the year. Everyone is welcome to participate. The Friends can be contacted through the School Office.

Ficino-School-Development-Committee

The Ficino School Development Committee is the leader and coordinator of fund-raising efforts for Ficino School. Membership includes the School Principal, staff and parents. It also includes volunteers from Ficino School's founder and supporter body, the School of Philosophy , Auckland (Inc).

The FSDC acts as a liaison between official fund-raising groups ie the Friends of Ficino, the Ficino Educational Foundation and the Ficino School Board. Currently the three trustees of the Ficino Educational Foundation are also members of the Ficino School Development Committee.
Parents are always welcome to contact the Committee to offer ideas or assistance.

Ficino-Education-Foundation

The Ficino Educational Foundation is the registered charity which raises, holds and distributes funds on behalf of Ficino School.
To complement the fund-raising efforts of Friends of Ficino and other parent groups the FEF aims to raise funds from the wider Auckland community, and in doing so to provide additional general promotion and visibility for the Ficino School.

FEF stages public events and activities and also makes applications to registered charities who routinely distribute funds to the educational sector.
The long term aim of the Foundation is to help make a Ficino School education available to a wider audience.
